along this Blog's url to any past or present Parkdale work employees you my no....Lets give it a try....All you have to do is click on the word "comments" and then type....Its so easy, even a Wire Drawer can do it.
Maybe a wiredrawer can't do it cause there are no comments yet. I'm Dennis Marten (Dr Hook) to the ones who know me. When I left the plant in 2006 the hooks were in great shape. Now I hear they are a tattered mess. All the company had to do was ask me to stay on awhile and those hooks would still be useable.
ReplyDeleteHey Dr Hook, and thanks for being the first commenter...maybe we will hear from someone on the "inside" or possibly a cleaner and you will hear about the condition of the hooks. I do remember bout a yr ago, someone tried to "drag" one down the street to the scrap yard...lol

ReplyDeleteHey Tommy...JM here ( Firestone ) Its me who has created this site. Unlike you, I didnt get layed off, and I really miss seeing and talking to all the guys. Thats why Ive created this site. Im really hoping that the guys, past and present will use this to keep in touch.We are presently getting around 50-60 people coming here a day, however im a bit confused over why nobody is posting...any ideas?
ReplyDeletejust a short note for all those who have their 30 years in and could retire.i left 5 years ago and still have not reached 60. time really does fly.not sure if i'll even collect canada pension due to health concerns, so i really appriciated my early retirement. too many of our past employees never had a chance to retire, so if you can get out early i highly suggest you do
